So sorry to hear of the death of Martha Henry. We were to see her on opening night of the 2018 season in the role of Prospero in The Tempest. But a bomb threat cancelled the performance. We were told to evacuate the area. As we were driving away, we saw Ms. Henry walking down the street in Stratford, carrying her big, wooden Prospero staff. Fortunately, we were able to see her as the magical Prospero about a month later. We saw her in many, many roles in Stratford, but I regret not seeing her this year in Three Tall Women. She carried on through illness, playing the part until the end of the season, and died 12 days later. A remarkable woman and brilliant actor.
