Congratulations to Jade Lester who has recorded her own CD! Jade will be singing in concert this Saturday, April 10 to launch her recording, entitled “Love’s Funny That Way”. The concert is set for 8:00 p.m. at the Kiwanis Theatre in Chatham.

Jade’s CD is a compilation of country/pop songs, and contains material written by top songwriters from Ontario, to Nashville and Los Angeles. “I picked a bunch of different songs that I thought reflected my age, my emotions, and stuff that I’ve gone through in my life,” Jade says. The CD was produced by Will Haas of Willyboy Recording Studios in London.

Jade, 19, attends Chatham- Kent Secondary School. She’s still considering options for her post-secondary education, but plans to pursue music.

Jade was a member of the original Lambton MainStreet Players and travelled Lambton County with the troupe in the summer of 2007. The group of talented triple threats performed musical theatre songs and favourites from the 50s and 60s in outdoor locations.

Jade won the Kiwanis Music Festival for all of Ontario in 2007, singing in the musical theatre category. In 2008, she won the Western Fair Youth Talent Search, and from there went on to win the All-Canadian Youth Talent Search in Saskatoon

Plan now to attend Jade’s debut CD concert. Tickets are $20 and available at the Cultural Centre Box Office, 75 William St. N., Chatham, by calling 519-354-8338 or online at www.cktickets.com.
