Streets Eatery & Pub – Petrolia

Written on May 5th, 2016

If you’re heading to Petrolia’s Victoria Playhouse for a matinee, enjoy lunch first at Streets Eatery, 4124 Petrolia Line.  Or come for dinner after the matinee or before the evening performance, they will ensure you enjoy your day out.  I found the service friendly and fast, and the servers very accommodating.

streets-interiorStreets Eatery offers a wide variety on their menu, but they are known for being Petrolia’s longest standing and best pizza place. They also take pride in their steak and salmon.  As well, on the menu you’ll find Italian Cuisine, Ribs, Burgers, Salads and Sandwiches.  We started the meal with some piping hot potato soup.  It was thick and creamy, filled with small chunks of potato and carrot, and was seasoned just right.  Not too salty as so many potato soups are.  Victor had their special of the day, which was a pasta dish with chicken in a blush sauce:  He reported that it was very tasty.  I went with the server’s recommendation and was not disappointed.  I had the Asiago chicken — a hot casserole dish smothered in delicious Asiago cheese with spinach over juicy chicken breasts.

Streets Eatery offers casual dining, with rustic decor.  On a Saturday night, it was crowded with happy theatre goers, so call ahead for a reservation at 519-882-1761.   Certainly, the food is good and the price is right.

Like the Playhouse, Streets Eatery is closed Mondays, but open the rest of week:  Tuesday and Wednesday 11:00 to 9:00; Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11:00 to 10:00; and Sunday 8:00 to 8:00.
